us stayed at the La Quinta Inn in Champaign where we
hired a bus for both Friday night and all day Saturday
to transport us to the Champaign Country Club Friday
night for a cocktail party with heavy hors d’oeuvres
and all events on Saturday. Saturday events included
the Illini football game, trip from the “I” Hotel after
the game for transportation back to the La Quinta Inn
with a stop at 410 E. John. Then to dinner at the “I”
Hotel where many of the classes were able to take to
ΣΧthe podium for updates of their latest experiences as
Sigma Chis. Pictures were taken and everyone took
the bus back to the Inn. A great night was had by all.

Annual Class of ’75 - ’81 golf outing. We also made an impact with the helicopter which arrived to pick up Brother
Bill Runzel ’78 for a charity event he was participating in downtown Chicago!
Annually we have a golf outing with local sigs from the class of ’75 Mackey and John Runzel, we used the event to formally “pledge”
through ’81. Tim Schneider ’77, co-owner of the Golf Club of Illinois both these elder statesmen. Both Mackey and Runzel have had close
with his twin brother (and Delta Delta Sig) Tom, hosts. Tim is also ties with our chapter for 40 years. During the formal pledge ceremony
a current Cook County Commissioner and Chairman of the State of all the brothers commented on the value and important impact the
Illinois Republican party. We have a great time having lunch, hitting Fraternity had had on their lives and how they were looking forward
a few balls, actually playing golf and then having some dinner! This to welcoming the two into the Fraternity. Dan’s initiation is planned
