Founders Day 2018
Founders Day 2018 is coming up soon! The weekend event is scheduled for
Friday, February 16 –Saturday, February 17

This exciting weekend has been planned once again at the beautiful Holiday Inn Vanderbilt.
Keynote Speaker: Vice Chancellor Eric Kopstain
Mr. Kopstain began his career in academic administration at his alma
mater – Northwestern University – in 1991, serving in a variety of roles with
increasing responsibility.
In 2003, he became the director of Dartmouth College’s Office of
Budget and Fiscal Planning. He moved to Harvard in 2006 as assistant dean
and budget director of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences before being pro-
moted to associate dean for finance. He has been credited with helping the
Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the largest division of Harvard University, navigate through Founders Day 2017.
and recover from the 2008 financial crisis.
He was named Vanderbilt’s vice chancellor for administration in May 2014. The
recipient of a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern in 1991, Mr. Kopstain received Schedule of Events

A memorial scholarship fund is in place with the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation given
in memory of Graham G. Stone ’92 (Delta #1300), who died of cancer in 1997.
This year, the House Corporation worked with the chapter president and the foun-
dation to set up a formal application to award a $900 educational scholarship annually
to a Phi Psi who demonstrates a commitment to his chapter and financial need. After
the application 2017 deadline, there will be a formal review of the applicants, and we
hope that we will be able to announce the recipient at Founders Day. You can contrib-
ute to this fund through the foundation’s website at www.pkpfoundation.org and look
for this fund in the designation field. 2015 Convention attendees.
