P. 15

And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
Amos 4:7-8
The scripture above reveals that God was selective with closing heaven. It rained on one city and not another.
There are times when we are singled out. What may work for somebody else; may not work for us. If others are receiving and we are not receiving God’s blessings; it may be because God has closed up the heavens to us.
Closed Heavens will always result in setbacks in our lives.
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
Haggai 1:9
Whether it is in our personal life, ministry, church, business, or city; when there is a closed heaven, we suffer setbacks. Very often, our progress or success is taken away from us just when we finally thought our time had come. Progress or success is aborted before it is time because of resistance of the enemy. When heaven is closed to us, the enemy is free to attack.
