A word or phrase that means exactly
or nearly the same meaning with the
word.
Sometimes, to get the meaning of
the word, it may come with signal
words such as {in other words,also
known as, sometimes called}.
EXAMPLE:
1. That man have not gone to the hospital and in a great
affliction where he suffered a great pain from the
wound.
AFFLICTION = PAIN
The clues is "... suffered a great pain...". It explains back
what is the man feeling and the signal word is "where".
