8.3.2 Casual Leave
All staff are entitled to a casual leave of three (3) working days in a year.
Compassionate Leave
The school for the following reasons shall grant compassionate leave with pay: death of a
wife, husband, father, mother, child or similar situation approved by the Head Teacher.
Maximum of 3 days paid leave may be granted at management discretion, except in the
case of a husband’s death, in which the number of days to be given will be at the discretion
of the Head teacher. Any staff that stays beyond approved days shall have his/ her salary
deducted.
8.3.3 Maternity Leave
Only confirmed female staff of the school shall be entitled to 60 days maternity leave with
full pay. Unconfirmed staff shall not be entitled to this privilege.
8.3.4 Accommodation
The school does not provide accommodation for staff but rent subsidy is provided only for
confirmed staff except those in management cadre and such subsidy shall be specified in
the letter of appointment.
8.3.5 Transport
Transport allowance shall be paid to all staff. The amount payable shall be specified in the
letter of appointment.
8.3.6 Medicals
Medical allowance shall be paid to all employees and staff medical allowance is made
available in the letter of appointment.
Discounted fees for staff children.
As an incentive for staff members, staff children shall enjoy privilege of attending the
school with a minimal payment of 50% of tuition fess only per child. Each staff is only
allowed a maximum of 2 children. Half of the total fees is expected to be paid on
resumption while the balance is to be paid by midterm.
8.4 Loans and advances
(i) Salary advance – The school management does not encourage salary advance for its
staff but where salary advance request is deemed to be cogent and genuine, management
can approve as appropriate.
(ii) Personal loan
Approval for personal loan shall fulfill the following conditions:
The staff must be confirmed and guarantor letter signed and completed.
Maximum repayment period is 3 months
It must be paid off within a term
The rule is first come first serve. Maximum of 3 staff in a term.
All loans shall be subject to maximum of N100,000 per staff
