Incursions and

Excursions

Learning can take place in many different areas and setting. Incursions and excursions
form a valuable part of our programs

Incursions are usually engaged as a way of exploring and extending the children's interest.
These incursion programs are carefully thought out and learning benefit explored prior to
inviting them into the service. We currently host a variety of incursions every term.

External excursions are also relevant to the children's current interests. Risk assessments
are conducted by the teaching team prior to any excursions taking place and parents will be
required to sign permission for their child to attend. Parents are actively encouraged to
attend these excursions to support the children and teaching team. If attending an
excursion parents must provide a valid Working With Children's Check.

Stay and Play Parent

Participation

We really appreciate any help our families can offer us. Participating in the program is an
opportunity not only to share time with your child but a chance to contribute any talents or
experiences that you may hold with the group.

We really look forward to sharing this time with you when you stay and play.

A roster will be displayed each term giving parents a chance to choose when you would like to
help out. It would be ideal if each family could help out on at least two occasions per

term. There is also a washing roster for smocks, tea towels and face washers.
