What your child should wear
Children are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing which allows for the freedom of
movement with play activities while being mindful of both the weather conditions. Children's
clothing should be suitable for messy and active play including shoes which enclose their feet
and have firm grip on the sole. Botany Park has a uniform available for purchase. Order forms are
available in your enrolment packs or upon request.
Sunscreen and wide broad brimmed sun hats will be provided at the service
It is each families responsibility to apply sunscreen at the start of each session. If your children
requires particular sunscreen the service will require a bottle to be left on the premise.
What to bring
We ask that your child's belongings be clearly labelled with their name
* A backpack / Bag
* A complete change of clothing (even if your child is independent with toileting)
* In winter a warm coat and beanie
* In summertime all clothing must have sleeves (Not shoestring straps or singlet tops)
* A healthy snack and / or lunch
* A drink bottle filled with fresh water
* We ask that home toys are not brought to preschool, however there may be a time when items
are requested as part of the program.
Healthy Snack and Lunch
Botany Park Preschool encourage nude food and healthy eating. We ask that you provide your child
with the following Snack and or / lunch items
* Fruit or vegetables for snack
* Cheese, yogurt, dips and dry biscuits
* Sandwich or Lunch alternative
We ask that sometime food like sweet biscuits, chocolate and cakes are kept for treats at home.
Any dietary or allergies requirements need to be included upon enrolment and families will be
informed of any precautions we may need to take to keep children healthy and safe when eating at
Preschool.
