HELEN A. HUBLER (NANA) CHERRY COBBLER

        Ingredients
        4 tablespoons butter                                             2 cups flour

        1 cup milk                                                       1/2 teaspoon salt
        4 teaspoon baking powder                                         1/2 cup sugar


        TOPPING:
        1/2 cup hot water                                                1 ½ cups sugar
        2 cups cherries (remove pits)


        Instructions
        Cream butter and mix in sugar. Mix flour, baking powder and salt and then alternating
        with the milk add to the sugar and butter mixture. Mix until smooth and put it into a
        buttered / floured pan about 10x14 inches. Mix cherries with sugar and hot water. Pour
        over dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve warm with milk or cream.

        Ingredients
        1/2 cup melted butter                                            1/2 cup light brown sugar
        1 cup flour


        Instructions
        Mix together and put into a small baking pan and bake 350 degrees until brown.
        While waiting, beat:
        1 cup brown sugar                                                1 cup moist coconut
        1 cup chopped nuts                                               1/2 cup flour
        1/2 teaspoon baking powder                                       1/2 teaspoon salt
        Spread over first layer and bake until brown.

        GRETEL WAGNER FRUIT TORTE


        Ingredients
        CRUST:
        1/8 pound of butter (1/2 a stick)                                3 tablespoons sugar
        1/2 teaspoon baking powder                                       pinch of salt
        cream together and add 1 egg and 3/4 cup flour


        Line a buttered torte pie pan with crust.


        FILLING:

        1 ½ pint blueberries                                             1/4 cup sugar
        1 tablespoon tapioca                                             1/2 juice of a large lemon


        Instructions
        Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes
