NANA HUBLER’S BLUEBERRY BUCKLE

        Ingredients
        1/2 cup butter
        1/2 cup sugar

        1 egg
        2 cups flour
        2 ½ teaspoon baking soda
        1/2 cup milk
        1/4 teaspoon salt

        1 cup blueberries


        TOPPING:

        1/2 cup sugar
        1/2 cup flour
        1/4 cup butter



        Instructions
        Cream butter and sugar and add egg and beat. Combine the flour and baking powder
        and then add to the butter mixture alternating with the milk. Put in greased and
        floured baking pan and pour blueberries over top of mixture.



        TOPPING: Combine the sugar and flour in a bowl and cut in butter until it is crumbly.
        Sprinkle over blueberries. Bake in a 350 degree oven. The original recipe calls to
        bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. In my oven it only takes 50 minutes.




        NAN HUBLER’S PLAIN CAKE


        Ingredients
        1/2 cup butter                      2 teaspoon baking powder
        1 cup sugar                         2 eggs separated
        1 ½ cups flour                       1/2 cup milk
        1 teaspoon spice or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla



        Instructions
        Combine flour and baking powder. Cream butter and sugar and the add egg yolks. Add
        flour mixture to creamed butter mixture alternating with milk. Add spice or vanilla

        and the beaten egg whites last and beat well. Bake 375 degrees for about 30 minutes.
