NANA HUBLER’S DELICIOUS CAKE
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
2 ½ teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar and then add egg, milk and vanilla.
Combine all dry ingredients and add to mixture and mix well.
Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes or until done.
MARTHA HUBLER BEEKER’S LADY BALTIMORE CAKE
Ingredients
1 ½ cups sugar 1/2 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water 3 eggs sti y beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 teaspoon almond flavor
3 cups flour 3 tablespoons baking powder
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar and add water, milk, vanilla, almond flavoring and eggs. Beat
well and add dry ingredients. Pour into 2 greased and floured round pans and bake at
375 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Aunt Martha was Nan Hubler’s (Helen A. Hubler) daughter.
EASY POUND BUNDT CAKE
Ingredients
2 ½ cups flour 2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon lemon zest 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup butter 1 cup sour cream
3 large eggs
Instructions
Combine all ingredients and beat for 3 minutes. Grease and flour bundt pan and pour
batter in. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes. Cool 15 minutes and then turn upside down.
