CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE

        Ingredients
        1/2 cup butter
        1 teaspoon baking powder

        1 cup sugar
        2 cups flour
        1 teaspoon vanilla extract
        1 teaspoon baking soda
        2 eggs

        1/4 teaspoon salt
        1 cup sour cream
        12 ounces chocolate chips



        Instructions
        Cream butter and sugar. Add all other ingredients except chocolate chips. Beat for a few
        minutes then add 3/4 of the chocolate chips and mix. Pour into a greased and floured
        tube pan. Pour batter in and sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips over the top.

        Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.






        ORANGE KOENIG STOLLEN

        Ingredients
        1 package yeast                                          2 eggs + 2 yolks
        1/4 cup warm water                                       1/2 cup orange juice

        1/2 cup brown sugar                                      2 teaspoon orange rind
        3 ½ - 4 cups flour                                        1/2 teaspoon salt
        1/2 cup melted butter



        Instructions
        Dissolve yeast in warm water, add 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1/2 cup flour. Cover and
        let rise for 30 minutes. Beat eggs and egg yolks with a fork. Add juice, rind, and remaining
        sugar.



        Stir in butter and add to yeast mixture, add remaining flour. Let rise 2 hours. Roll out with
        fruit (holiday candied fruit mixture), nuts, cinnamon and sugar. Let rise 3/4 hour.

        Bake in a 375 degree oven.
