~ It's the
"What can I do?"
question that many are asking
during this time.
.
.
With so much going on, there are some who are
• --- in need of something they feel is worthwhile to
do. We can $pend . a lot of valuable time just
talking about what's in the • news, but there is
something more than we can do with our timef ·no SOMETHING.
One person can make a difference in someone else's life if we would
just put forth some effort. What seems to be "little" can be "grand" to
someone who may be going through challenges.
As I was seeking God for something new to offer in 2021, He led me .
to a few ideas that you may want to do, especially if you have some
ladies with whom you fellowship or some you want to keep in
contact. There may even be family members who may need a boost.
1. Why not do a Well of Praise. Either make or buy a well. As you
are blessed, record the blessing on a piece of paper and place it in
your well. Check it every three months and appreciate the Lord for
what He is doing for you. Then, share with someone else.
2. Start a Reading Group. Get a few ladies together and select a day
and time to read a Book of the Bible together & a selected book of
choice.
3. Pay it forward Bottle. Get a bottle from the Dollar Tree such as
the one shown on the next page. Begin collecting dimes. At the
end of six months, count the dimes and see what kind of need you
can meet. Use them as a act of encouragement for someone.
4. Swop-it. Recall an Old-Timey Recipe that has been passed down
in your family or one that you treasure. Share it with a younger
lady in an effort to have her try something new. Or think of
something--even a devotional book-that can be shared.
5. Bread Bundles. Those of you who like to bake, then do different
kinds of bread-banana, pineapple, pumpkin, Hawaiian, etc., and
drop it in the mailbox of a Senior Citizen who has been shut in for
a while. (Of course, call and let them know what you've done!)
6. The Great Hunt Search out young ladies you know are at home
with their children. Get a "pick-me-up" of some kind for them,
and don't forget the children. They may not need sweets, but how
'I>
about a big can of popcorn or some other healthy snack for them.
