The day had been planned, the time set in motion, the route had
already been GPS 'd. God knew Pharaoh would not cotton to the
plan of releasing His people so they could go to a designated place to
worship. It was as if God said "enough is enough". God had given
Pharaoh the opportunity to abide by his request to "let My people
go ", and yet, God knew He would not. And:. !to~ Pharaoh needed
                                                    ... ~
       some convincing.
But first, he wanted his people to leave grand-style - in a better
frame of mind, not looking like what they had been through. So,
God sends instructions that sounds strange to some, but God knew
what He was doing. It would later be considered as "earned income
credit" or "back pay". Exodus 3:21-22 says, "And I will give this -~-
people favour in the sight of Jhe Egyptians: and it shall come Jo
pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty. But every woman shall
borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojoin--neth in her house,
jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put
them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil
the Egyptians." Not only did he want the parents and caregivers to
have an image change, but also their sons and daughters!

And they did just that at the command of God,
Himself. God did not want them exiting their place
                                                          " 7

and so, He set a precedence for them - foretold
"hope" of a better life if they would only keep their
eyes on Him and OBEY. Well, Pharaoh received the message from
God that was delivered by Moses and Aaron, God's chosen "brother-
team". Pharaoh needed some convincing so God allowed plagues
to invade the territory, but not the land of Goshen where His people
had been planted by way of his command. God told them how to
even prepare their houses - "A Lamb for Every House". And it's
       the same today!

They were ready and their houses were ready ... now, it was time for
the plagues to arrive ... ten to be exact:
