                   Arkansas

                   The supervising physician is required to submit a letter to board

                   stating that he or she understands that he or she is taking
                   responsibility for the actions of the PA while the PA is under their

                   supervision.


                   Georgia

                   Physicians who apply for or utilize a PA will be responsible for any

                   violation of the enumerated limitations on the practice of a PA.


                   Kentucky

                   A PA shall be considered an agent of the supervising physician in

                   performing medical services and procedures described in the

                   initial application or any supplemental application received by the
                   board.


                   Mississippi

                   The supervising physician must sign a statement of responsibility

                   on the physician assistant application acknowledging

                   responsibility for the medical services rendered by the PA as

                   outlined in the written protocol.


                   There is no clear rule or law addressing whether supervising
                   physicians may be held liable for the actions of the advanced

                   practice nurses they supervise.


                   Tennessee

                   In 2015, Tennessee deleted the requirement that a supervising

                   physician for a PA have complete and absolute authority over the
