2006 Starting boxes

Vicki Fagre-Stroetz told me that Gail Wieberdink of Minnesota was behind the Minnesota
Coursing Association’s racing program, and when it ended, she was instrumental in
directing MCA's starting boxes to SSARA.
SSARA bought the boxes from the MCA and the trailer they came with.
8 Sloughis started from boxes for the first time at SSARA on September 30-October 1
2006.

Starting from boxes is not compulsory at LGRA racing events. Breeds which typically box
at SSARA events are Basenji, Greyhound, Ibizan hound and Sloughi. All others are hand-
slipped.
