Touareg encampment at the door of Ghadames.
This sighthound was named Sloughi then but would probably be named Azawakh now,
although the location is that of Sloughis, far away from the Azawakh’s countries of origin.
Ghadames is an oasis town in the Nalut District of the Tripolitania region in northwestern
Libya.
It lies near the borders with Algeria and Tunisia. Ghadames borders the Illizi Province, Algeria
and the Tataouine Governorate, Tunisia.
