-Hunting scene of the vizier Rekhmire, Thebes, tomb TT 100, 18th Dynasty, New Kingdom
The tribute scene in the tomb of the vizier Rekhmire has already been presented in detail
[48]. This clearly proves the origin of the Sloughi type hounds to Nubia, i.e. south of the
First Cataract of the Nile. These hounds were also used, as we can see in the hunting
scene in the tomb of Rekhmire. There, too, the area in the desert is enclosed with a fence
of nets.

“The figure of Rekhmire has not been preserved. Only the length of his bowstring can be
seen. The figure was originally facing to the right. Servants follow him with a hound,
carrying spare bows and arrows.
