On-site Monitoring
Monitor before initial entry to identify the IDLH condition. Be sure to put periodic monitoring in place
when the possibility of IDLH condition or flammable atmosphere has developed. Monitoring of high-
risk employees must be prioritized. After the actual clean-up phase commences, the employer shall
monitor those employees likely to have the highest exposures while on-site.
Employers shall develop and implement a program, which is part of the safety and health
program, to inform employees, contractors, and subcontractors (or their representative) of the
level and degree of exposure likely to occur.
