Decontamination


             Prior to site entry, decontamination procedures must be implemented, developed, and communicated
             to  employees.  The  site  safety  and  health  supervisor  must  monitor  the  effectiveness  of the
             decontamination procedure. Equipment and PPE must be decontaminated or disposed of in a proper
             manner. Regular showers and change rooms must meet the requirements of the OSHA sanitation
             standard—1910.141(d)(3).







































             Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Sites

             An uncontrolled hazardous waste site is defined as an area where an accumulation of hazardous
             substances creates a threat to the health and safety of individuals, the environment, or both. Employers
             are required to provide a written emergency response plan to be executed by employees. Employers
             this requirement, but they must prepare an emergency action plan as required by 29 CFR 1910.38.
