harm the plastic surface. Do not use the steamer to clean the outside of the unit.
CLEANING THE VACUUM CANNISTER FILTER
Clean the filter after each use to ensure that the vacuum works at maximum efficiency.
To inspect the filter, proceed as follows:
1) Refer to page 12 on how to open the vacuum tank and remove the filter.
2) Check the state of repair of the filter. If dirty, wash with hot water and neutral detergent, if necessary.
3) Let the filter dry naturally (do not place on a heater).
4) After cleaning the filter, return it to the seat and reattach the cannister. Make sure the knob under the
lid has been correctly tightened.
After prolonged use, if worn or damaged, replace the polyester filter with a new filter. New filters can only
be purchased from Carico or an authorized Carico customer care center.
CLEANING THE ACCESSORIES
We suggest rinsing the wands and accessories after each use. Empty the vacuum tank and vacuum
between 0.25 gal to 0.5 gal of clean water through the attachments.
This will clean the interior of the attachments and prevent onset of scaling, mold
and odors.
CLEANING THE FLOAT
When cleaning the vacuum canister, always check that there is no obstruction 1
of the float or dirt in the float housing.
If float cleaning is required, proceed as follows:
Fig. 18
1) Turn the knob under the filter anti-clockwise to unscrew it.
2) Remove the polyester filter.
3) While immobilizing the top of the bin, open the cage of float (turn it 2
counter-clockwise).
4) Remove the float (Fig. 18).
5) Clean the float housing, the float and the float cage. Remove all dirt.
To replace the components and close the unit, proceed as above but in
reverse order. Fig. 18a
