MY LIFE
IN
BULLDOGS

There have been bulldogs in my family for
about seventy years. My first bulldog in my
own name Edward (Sevenup Semprini)
purchased in 1983, was brother to my parents
last. The Edstrong Affix was registered in 1994
and every bulldog I have breed since then
has been directly descended from Edward. To
describe the Edstrong Kennel as small is an
understatement,in the thirty seven years since
my first bulldog I have only owned fifteen dogs
and bitches
I was lucky to win my first Challege Certificate
with Edward in 1986. I then waited nearly thirty
years to win another, the first of seven won by
Olympus (Ch, Ir & Int Ch Edstrong Diamond
Jubilee Jun Ch) whose litter sister Edstrong
Jubilee Queen was also a ticket winner.
Olympus, despite living in Ireland and not being
shown extensively in the UK, went on to be Best
Bitch at Bulldog of the Year 2014 in both UK
and Ireland and competed at the event for three
consecutive years.
Equal enjoyment and success came outside
the ring with work in Radio, TV, Film and
Advertising. My second bulldog, Edward’s Quintic Lucas, the orginal Churchill dog, as he
son Quintic Lucas was the original Churchill appeared on the first advert featuring a bulldog
Insurance dog and appeared in all of their
