She was the foundation of all we have achieved
in breeding and showing. Posh was shown
successfully gaining numerous RCC’s under
well respected breed specialists.
In her search for the perfect mate Mum decided
a grandfather to granddaughter mating was
called for and thus Sh Ch Gunalt Hunky JW
“George” was used on Posh. From that litter,
and right from the start, our eyes drew to one
particular dog puppy. He turned out to be our
top winning Weimaraner to date. His name
was “Finn” Sh Ch Sharnphilly Awesome JW
ShCM, becoming our first Show Champion.
Having been ‘homebred’ made it extra special,
Finn was the ultimate showman and never let us
down. He gained his title from Junior and went
on to win 30CC’s & 25 RCC’s and numerous
group placings at championship shows and also
a Crufts BOB winner.
We felt privileged that the first person to use
Finn at stud was Tricia Grimes of Ansona fame,
on Ansona Gamefair named Cleo. After a
long road trip to view this special litter we could
not leave without taking one of these stunning
puppies.
This gave us our second show champion “Ava”
Sh Ch Ansona Vanity Fair At Sharnphilly who
achieved both a Championship Group win and

substantial bitch, well-constructed, a fantastic
mover and a Crufts CC winner. Alas, and
despite many attempts Ava never managed to
produce a litter. This was a big disappointment
to us.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, “Joss” or
Sharnphilly Approval was returned to us.
Settling in to our small kennel of weimaraners
we decided to have a litter from her. We were
delighted with Finn and Cleo’s litter and agreed
to use “George” Sh Ch Ansona Gamesmaster
JW owned by Lynda Adams which incidentally
was a reverse mating of Finn and Cleo’s litter.
From this Joss produced a healthy litter of ten
and our first ‘undocked’ puppies. Having been
left with one puppy she stayed and went on
to become our 3rd Sharnphilly champion. She
was Sh Ch Sharnphilly Appraisil JW known
as “Ruby”. She was honest, well constructed
throughout, balanced with sound, effortless
movement.
On a visit to Sandra Rowbury’s Stormdancer
Kennel Mum came across a gorgeous bitch
puppy that Sandra had kept for herself.
Smitten, mum eventually took this beautiful
puppy back home to join the Sharnphilly team.
