Newfies
My family have been in Newfies since 1984,
I have grown up surrounded by these gentle
giants my whole life. From visits to local open
shows at the weekend to visiting friends from
dogshow homes being surrounded by their
newfoundlands. From the age of 6 I wanted to
get into the ring with a newfie but at that time all
the dogs were still bigger than me! My first junior
handling experience was in 2011, I was 9 at the
time. It was at an open show, I wasn’t placed
as at the time as I had to get onto my keens to
place my dog’s feet as she was so heavy. I did
qualify for Richmond that year and was placed
3rd and was over the moon.
My all-time handling dog is Cooper, Ch Zentaur
