Open houses are 3 hours in the winter months and 4 hours in summer. We do not
typically do Open Houses on holiday weekends so you can feel free to use your home
as wanted. Second, we market the Open House on social media, on the MLS, partner
sites like Redfin and Zillow, as well as craigslist. Most people who attend an Open
House found out about it online.Third, we place signs. Before the open someone will
go around the neighborhood and place signs. Signs will be at major intersections and
at each turn needed to get to your home. We place enough signs to get noticed, but
not be obnoxious. We have multiple kinds of signs to place from signs that stick in the
ground, a board, sail flags, and banners to help attract more buyers to your home.
Signs are picked up shortly after the open house.
Before your open house we will email you a list of things you want to make sure are
out of sight during an Open House.
We try to have our eyes and ears everywhere, but people can be tricky. You will get
an email days before your open house that informs of all the things to look out for.
Please be sure to note when that email is received.
We place a sign at the entrance that the property is under surveillance to hope to
dissuade that kind of activity.
The agent will arrive to your home early, to turn on lights, open blinds, and do a
walkthrough of the home.
If we see anything amiss, we are known to do a quick clean or hide an item if
needed.
During the open, the agent will be asking those who attend to register for safety
purposes and getting feedback on the home for you.
We will let you know how many people attended your open and what the feedback
is no later than next business day after the open house.
