They tend to take command of conversations and will engage in debate at the outset but can quickly signal an end to the discussion to pacify their need to move to more urgent or pressing issues or challenges.
THE DETAILS ABOUT PRINT® 8
The unconscious motivator for PRINT® Eight is to be strong and self reliant. Eights seek to avoid being weak and dependent. Eights are kind of built to run the show. They want to be the top dog in any group,

whetherit’stheirfamily, theirfriendsortheirworkenvironment. For them life is pretty clear and simple, the world is a power game and they want to come out on top and their credo is that only the strong survive. They like structure that allows them to know where they stand in that power game and the rules to play it.
InBestSelf,Eightsareexceptionalleadersandthey’reabletomotivate and even inspire others to accomplish and achieve. I don’t want to mislead you into thinking that they’re the only PRINT that can be an effective leader; that is not true. All PRINTs can be effective leaders and they bring different strengths to the table. Eights are just natural born leaders and they generally will rise to the top whether it’s offered to them or not. They have a knack for getting people to perform. They can mobilize the troops and they’re also protective of their people. They’ll really go to bat for them and fight for their injustices.
When in Best Self, you’ll see an Eight’s tender and generous side and this helps them to attract a following, besides their strength, their
confidenceandtheircourageousness.Butunfortunately, theydon’t always show this side because sometimes an Eight may feel that this tender and warm side is perceived as a weakness. Vulnerability can be challenging to some Eights in Shadow
In Shadow, when Eight’s power and forceful personality goes awry and theymustbestrongandself-reliant,Eightsbecomeaddictedtopower. They can become coercive in how they get people to do things, they can use pressure tactics, intimidation. They can boss people around. In Shadow, they must get their way and they can be quite unyielding and stubborn when they’re in this mode.
In Best Self, Eights are extraordinarily independent, they really are their own person and they’re known for their self-sufficiency, their self- reliance and their resourcefulness. They actually dislike having to be too dependent on other people. They don’t follow a crowd. They have their own mind and they’re not afraid to speak it. They’re definitely not timid people.
