Colours Poverty
Racism, racism, who are you? Once there lived a family,
Every corner I go, there’s god know who. They lived very happily.
We are different in every way you see, Mal-nutritioned they were,
But we are alike, you and me. Starving they were.
Black, brown or white,
It’s a matter of our sight. No shelter they had,
Pink, mauve or blue Slept uncomfortable and bad.
does it really matter what colour are you? Clothes were torn and old,
In this world that we live, They never wore anything that was sold.
Shouldn’t we reach out and give? They had no money at all,
Holding hands, standing side by side, They couldn’t even call.
Building bonds, isn’t that worth a fight?
East, West, North and South They had no true home,
This is our world don’t feel left out. I enjoyed eating an ice cream cone.
One world, one human race I was playing on my console,
Humanity is what we must chase. They had nothing to cover a sole.
Inside my house I played on my guitar chord,
Diya Verma Their roof leaked while the rain poured.
