Covid-19 Relief Efforts
eliance Industries and Reliance Foundation have launched several initiatives to
R combat the countrywide Covid-19 pandemic. Among them: establishment of
India’s first exclusive Covid-19 curative facility of 250 beds within Seven Hills Hospital,
Mumbai in partnership with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation; contribution of
Rs.556 crore to several relief organisations including the PM-CARES Fund; promotion
of the Mission Annaseva that has provided over 50 million free meals across India
— the largest meal distribution programme by a corporate foundation worldwide;
incentivising production of 100,000 PPE (personal protection equipment) kits and
masks daily for India’s health and frontline workers; and conducting 3,500 tests per day
through Reliance Life Sciences — India’s largest test lab.
