LEFT & TOP RIGHT Nationally acclaimed for its superior infrastructure and
meticulous landscaping, GSIS is spread across two neo-classical Doric
architecture influenced campuses. The Fernhill campus built around the
refurbished summer palace of the former Maharajah of Baroda, hosts the
primary (classes II-VI) school, and middle, high and higher secondary students
are housed in the 140-acre Palada campus.
Academic facilities include 54 spacious classrooms, six ICT (information
communication technology) labs, design technology, visual arts, mathematics,
French, Spanish, Hindi and English labs, four libraries with 40,000 print volumes
and 120 journal and magazine subscriptions. Uniquely, the school is self-
sufficient with its own bakery unit and 40 acre organic farm and dairy which
meet the entire need of students for poultry, fresh vegetables and milk.
MIDDLE & BOTTOM RIGHT One of India’s largest importers of Western musical instruments, GSIS
offers the most extensive music and arts programme of any school nationwide. A dedicated co-
curricular activities complex houses 34 rooms for practice of music, dance, yoga and dramatics,
and highly-qualified faculty tutor students to master 17 musical instruments including piano,
violin, guitar, drums, saxophone, trumpet, flute, cello, mridangam, veena and tabla. Moreover,
GSIS is an approved centre for conducting music theory and practical examinations of the Trinity
College, London.
