Baklava is a rich and sweet pastry made
with layers of filo stuffed with chopped
nuts, sweetened and mixed with syrup,
cream or honey. Its origin is Greece, but it
is known to the Middle East, as well as to
the South Caucasus, the Balkans, the
Maghreb and Central Asia.

• 1 (16 ounce) package Phyllo dough
• 1 pound Nuts, mixed nuts, oil roasted, with peanuts, without salt
added
• 1 cup Butter, with salt
• 1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground
• 1 cup Water, municipal
• 1 cup Sugars, granulated
• 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
• ½ cup Honey, strained or extracted
