  • Clownfish and Sea Anemones:
Clownfish are one of the few species that are immune to the sea anemones’ sting. They live inside of it, using it as protection from predators. The sea anemone benefits because the clown fish lures in larger fish for it instead.
• Hermit Crabs and Sea Anemones:
another animal that can’t be hurt by
the sea anemones’ sting is the hermit
crab. instead, it sticks the sea anemone
on its shell, to use it as a weapon. When
the hermit crab outgrows its current shell,
it sticks the sea anemone on its new
shell, and so on, through their entire life.
The sea anemones benefit from it since they get the crab’s leftovers, and being moved around also gives them a bigger chance to get food than staying in the same place.
