Support for Sister Chapters: The Regional Director explained that some of our chapters a need
support, particularly in Virginia. These chapters have not taken in Krinon lines in some time.
Encouraging Basilei to support these chapters in any way possible.
Basilei Conference Calls:
The Regional Director explained the conference calls will continue and that every chapter
st
Basileus or 1 Anti-Basileus should participate in the calls. The purpose of the calls is to
st
Share and learn from each other’s challenges and successes. The Basileus or 1 Anti-
Basileus should relay all pertinent information from the calls back to the Chapter.
Housekeeping:
● Deadlines: The Regional Director stressed the importance of adhering to deadlines.
Reminding sorors to be professional and to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
● Protocol: The Regional Director directed Basilei to review the new section in the Manual
of Policies and Procedures.
Wellness Check - Anona Huntley, Member-At-Large, posed the question, “Are all our chapters
well?” The Cluster meetings conducted during the year focused on identifying tools to help
chapters improve. The number one concern raised by many chapters was the issue of time
management in meetings. Some suggestions for improving time management were:
● Manage Time ( start time, have a goal end time)
● Streamline reports
● Organize (have an agenda)
● Side bar conversations to a minimum
● Ask for Help
Basilei Activity: Discussion on ways to recruit and reclaim sorors.
National Update: The Supreme Basileus discussed updates from the National Body.
● Pride was expressed for sisterhood demonstrated during the relief efforts for
sorors/chapters affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma
● Empathy experienced in the face of the hardship experienced by the newest Chapter in
Selma, the college that employs many sorors and spouses is closing suddenly
● Support communicated for sorors in Oklahoma and West Virginia as they walkout for
higher wages
Basilei Professional Development - The Eastern Regional Director led the Basilei and other
participants in an activity designed to enhance team function and process skills.
