General Employment Policies and Practices
New Employee Orientation
Within a day or two of starting work, Human Resources will schedule a new employee
orientation meeting with you. During this meeting you will receive important information about
our Company’s policies and procedures. You will also be asked to complete paperwork and
forms relating to your employment, such as work eligibility forms, tax withholding forms, and
emergency contact forms. During this meeting your eligibility for any benefits will also be
explained. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about GMR and your
employment during the orientation meeting. If additional questions come up after the meeting,
you may ask your supervisor or a member of the Executive Team.
Proof of Work Eligibility
Within three business days of your first day of work, you must complete Federal Form I-9 and
show us documentation proving your identity and your eligibility to work in the United States.
The federal government requires us to do this. If you have worked for GMR previously, you
need only provide this information if it has been more than three years since you last
completed an I-9 form for us or if your current I-9 is no longer valid. Within three days, GMR,
who also participates in the Federal E-Verify Program, will confirm your eligibility to work in the
United States.
New Hire Reporting
It is GMR’s policy to comply with each applicable state’s New Hire Reporting requirements.
Personal Data Changes
It is the responsibility of each employee to promptly notify the Payroll Specialist of any changes
in personal data. Personal mailing addresses, telephone numbers, number and names of
dependents, individuals to be contacted in the event of an emergency, educational
accomplishments, and other such status changes should be accurate and current at all times. If
any personal data has changed, notify the Payroll Specialist.
Normal Office Hours
Your supervisor will let you know your work schedule, including what time you will be expected
to start and finish work each day. Employees often must be flexible with their schedules to
meet customer needs. Actual hours depend on company / customer requirements.
