I´m 38 years old, a mother of 3 kids (Sheena 20, Alex 16, & Mylee 13), I started P90X
in 2010 when my youngest was 2. I started my fitness journey after having
insecurities and hating my body after having babies. Before P90X I never wanted
to have muscle I just wanted to “tone” but once I gained muscle I fell in love with
the weights and eventually got brave enough to go to a gym. I decided to compete
in bodybuilding as figure in 2014. In 2015 I did my 2nd show as women’s physique.
I fell in love with the grind and discipline it took to get my body to the day of show.
I loved the routine portion and displaying all the muscle I worked so hard for.
Since starting I’ve done a total of 9 shows. Through the years of becoming a single
mom I managed to work 3 jobs raise my babies and prep for my shows. It was
exhausting and then I met Jeronimo “G”. We were teammates supporting each
other as we planned on doing the same show. We pushed each other and trained
together. It created such a passion and attraction watching him push and strive to
bring the best look. We started dating and the feeling of competing with him and
watching him on stage made me fall deeply in love with him. Since then we have
been pushing each other to be our best in the gym and blending our family
together to build a healthy loving relationship with us all. My last show July 31,
2021 I went to nationals and got my pro card. Having G by my side definitely was a
huge reason for that. He made sure I had everything for my show, drove me
around when I was depleted, tired, and helped push me at the gym when I was
lacking energy. Now I’m set to help him get his pro card with cooking his meals,
pushing him just as hard, and supporting his dreams in the sport.
