Allison Burns

Allison Burns, daughter of Carrousel
Melanie and Carrafella David Burns, and
granddaughter of Carrousel Laura and

Carrafella Fritz Wiltz, of the Washington
D.C. chapter, graduated from the
University of Virginia Law School. She is
presently clerking for a federal judge in

Albany, Georgia and will join the law firm
Gibson and Dunn in Dallas, Texas, in 2024.

Laine Spears McDaniel

Laine Spears McDaniel, daughter of
Carrousel Cecily and Carafella Michael

McDaniel, and granddaughter of deceased
Carrousel Alberta Spears Barker of New
Orleans, will graduate in May 2023 from

Woodward Academy. Laine has been
accepted to Spelman College, North
Carolina A&T State University and Xavier
University. She plans to study pre-
medicine. Additionally, Carrousel Cecily

and Carafella Michael will be celebrating
their 25th wedding anniversary (and
Laine’s graduation) with a family trip to

East Africa in July.
