3, 2022. What a beautiful blessing and a cherished milestone they
were able to share with both sets of their parents.

Neblett announces the appointment of her
cousin Jessica Davis Ba, a career member of
the US Foreign Service, as the United States
Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire. Ambassador

Davis Ba was sworn into office on January 31,
2023 at the White House by Vice President
Kamala Harris. Ambassador Davis Ba grew up
Joan Neblet + Jessica Davis Ba
in Washington, D.C. and graduated from the University of

Pennsylvania. She has been in the Foreign Service for more than 18 years, with most
of that time being spent in various countries in Africa. Carrousel Joan was able to
attend the ceremonies and see her friend, our V.P.

Fatima Goss Graves, daughter of Emeritus Carousel Carol

Goss of the Oakland, California Carousels, recently was
interviewed on the MSNBC show, Symone. The president
and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center spoke about
the recent court decision regarding the availability of
mifepristone in medication abortion. Fatima’s interview

spoke strongly not only about women’s rights but also how
this court’s decision was out of step with the law and with
the scientific evidence about the safety of mifepristone.

She sounded the alarm about reproductive freedom and
