NOW THAT'S A DEDICATION

On October 1, 2022, Miss at Porter’s School in Farmington,
Connecticut, Carrousel Glenda Newell-Harris’ high school alma mater,

held a formal dedication and ribbon cutting of The Dr. Glenda Newell-
Harris Student Center.

GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

The Oakland Carrousels are saddened by the loss of charter
member, Carrousel Emma Pendergrass.

As a charter member, Emma was the first vice president of the
chapter and served as treasurer for many years after. She

also served as National Treasurer under the leadership of our
Past National President, Carrousel Joan Neblett.

Emma was the beloved mother of two sons and known as a
woman of many talents and interests. She was an attorney,

an inspirational educator, a consummate travel agent, leader
and friend to many.
