MSP Hosts Weeklong Course on Death Investigations

By Rosemary Warren
At the scene of a death investigation, every detail counts. Approaching
each scene with an open mind and a keen set of investigatory skills is
essential.
That’s why the Medico-Legal Death Investigation Training hosted by the
State Police Division of Investigative Services in early October sought
to train state and local investigators and officers on the particulars of
conducting comprehensive and thorough death investigations.
The weeklong training, held October 5-9 in the new Training Room at the
Forensic and Technology Center in Maynard, was opened by Executive
Office of Public Safety and Security Secretary Daniel Bennett, Colonel
Richard McKeon, and Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan.
