To form plural nouns, specific methods must

be considered, namely:

a. A noun is singular if it becomes plural by

adding s or es to the singular Noun.

SINGULAR PLURAL

Pen Pens

Mango Mangoes

b. If the Noun ends in the letters s, sh, x, ch, and

o, add the letter es after the Noun.

SINGULAR PLURAL

Bus Buses

Brush Brushes

c. If a noun ends in the letter o and is preceded

by a consonant, add es to the plural form.

SINGULAR PLURAL

Buffalo buffaloes

Negro Negroes
