FIRE & EMERGENCY

• Get to know the escape routes and fire points.
Fire points are located at the building entrance,
stairways and around the buildings. Fire
extinguisher locations are displayed on the fire
plan at the fire points..

• In the event of a fire raise the alarm by activating
the Break Glass Unit.

• If you are trained and it is SAFE TO DO SO, try
putting out the fire, never put your self at risk!

• On hearing the fire alarm or being instructed to
leave the building, leave by the nearest fire exit
and go immediately to the assembly point
following the directional signage.

• A designated member of each of the contractors
will undertake a roll call, ensure you answer your
name upon request. Refer to layout page.

• Only return to work when instructed to do so by
the designated person.

• The fire alarm is tested in the M CUB and Data
Centre every Friday at 2 pm.
