The World Health Organization estimates that over 800,000 people take
their own life each year – that’s one person every 40 seconds. Up to 25
times as many again make a suicide attempt.
Men are more likely to attempt suicide than women – with one in 14 Men
attempting suicide, compared to one in 25 Women.
A recent report said that people spend on average 47 years of their lives at
work, so it’s important that businesses are able to support those affected in
the workplace.
