Government Affairs Committee (GAC)
The GAC’s mission is to analyze and determine CBA policy regarding specific legislative and
regulatory matters that are primarily based upon minimizing the burdens of government,
improving the business and regulatory climates, and enhancing the high quality of the
Colorado banking industry.
• 23-member committee (8 non-voting advisory members)
• Meets monthly (alternating between conference calls and in-person)
Legislative Review Committee
CBA’s volunteer legislative review committee meets via telephone on a weekly basis
between January and May. Participants review proposed state laws and amendments and
direct CBA staff and contract lobbyists to support, oppose or remain neutral on a bill.
• 25 regular participants - open to all Board and GAC members
Board of Directors
The Board acts as a body in wholly supervising and directing CBA. Intra-industry
problems are actively minimized. Composition is designed to reflect the industry in
Colorado, ensuring representation of all Colorado banks.
