Bonsai was jeering at the Big Kangaroo from the relative safety of the
orchard and threatening all sorts of damaging ninja moves! Once the dogs
were all safely contained, the Dogfather went up to the house to get some
leads so they could take all the dogs back to the house and safety and leave
the poor befuddled kangaroo to gather his wits, calm his racing heart, perhaps
have a little feed and then leave when he was ready.
Heavenly Schnickerdoodles Oreo exclaimed from the safety of the house! Did
you see that guy! Wowsers and Howsers - I think that might be the biggest
animal I ever saw! I was just about to ask him if he wanted to play chasey
with me and Ewok when they made us all come up. Everyone agreed it had been
a most exciting event. Uncle Kentucky will have another story to tell now, won’t
he - and we’ll all be in it too Bertie chortled.
The following weekend, the
Dogparents brought yet
another dog home with them
in the car when they
returned from work. No-one
had met Marley the Cocker
Spaniel before so
introductions all round were
needed. Marley liked to
paddle in all the inside water
bowls and then wander round
the house with his wet and
soggy feet leaving puddles
wherever he walked. So
while he was staying a lot of
the water bowls had to be
picked up or emptied. He
also liked to grab his dog lead in his mouth and take himself for a walk.
