• Grains (rice) are dehulled, milled, and packaged,
often without the need for protein extraction, due to
the natural stability of seed-based storage
compartments.
Critically, the protein is not purified out of the plant.
Instead, it remains embedded in the fibrous or starchy
tissue of the host organism. This plant matrix acts as a
protective barrier during digestion, shielding the protein
from gastric degradation and delivering it to the small
intestine—where immune-interactive cells in Peyer’s
patches and the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT)
reside.
The result:
A shelf-stable, orally delivered biologic—grown in a
plant, stabilized by nature, and targeted to the immune
interface.
