IV. ATTENDANCE
A. Absences
1. DEPED Manual of Regulations for Private Schools DO 88, s. 2010 amended as
follows:
A pupil or student in every private school who incurs absences of more than
twenty (20%) percent of the prescribed number of class or laboratory periods
during the school year or term should be given a failing grade and given no
credit for the course or subject. However, the school may adopt attendance
policy to govern absences of its pupils or students who belong to the upper half
of' their respective classes.
2. A student who will be absent for ten (10) consecutive days without notice
shall be considered DROPPED. Parents should therefore notify the school in any
form about their child's absence after the third day of absence.
3. After an absence the student must present an excuse letter signed by his/her
parent or legal guardian and by the Principal. The adviser is not to admit any
student without the proper document. Parents of legal guardian of students
who were not able to present an excuse letter after an absence will be notified
by the adviser. If need arises, they will be called for a conference.
4. Students are responsible for the assignments and projects given during their
absence.
5. No absences after holiday, weekend, or even vacation be excused except
when valid. or satisfactory reasons are given„
