P. 19

Both keepers were having good games when they were called into action – and again at the other end, Smallcombe had to be alert to deny Johnson with a good headed opportunity.
Similar to the first forty five, the home side’s play and determination was rewarded when they levelled on 68 minutes. After a corner from Oliver Smith on the right, Parry towered above everyone in the box to head home for Undy.
A draw was not ideal for anyone and both teams went in search of a winner. Undy substitute Sam Broadribb found himself one on one with Cann, but like Hanbury, was unable to get the better of him.
Anything the Pontypridd keeper could do, Smallcombe could do better - and he denied Fahiya getting his second of the game with a point blank range save.
The game ended two a piece and was Undy’s first draw of the league season. The result left both clubs in exactly the same positions as they started the day.
Undy are again at home at the Causeway next Saturday (5th) when they take on Trefelin BGC.
