Learning Objectives

 identify the external parts of a plant.
 recognize and name different types of flowering plants.
 name the external parts of a flower.
 state the role of each external part of the flower.
 compare the external parts of different flowers.
 know the importance of a flower in a plant’s life.

A plant is a living thing. It also has different parts just like us. Each part of the
plant has a different function. The main external parts of a plant are the
leaves, stem, roots, flowers and fruits.
