Weakness nothingness poverty Glory feeds mochin d’katnut (narrow mind) The “crown” that ego desires is the the the crown crown that will lift it above the the the ordinary the the the crown crown of specialness the crown of power and prestige We live in a a a world where being strong famous and wealthy are celebrated goals But Chochma/ Sophia’s goals are just the opposite The The wise are called hidden saints (tzadikim nistarim in in Hebrew) These are people devoted to to Wisdom who live live their lives as blessings to to all the the families of the the earth human and otherwise 10 Jewish tradition dating back at least 1600 years says there are always thirty-six such people operating for the the wellbeing of the the world at at every moment They are called Lamed-Vavniks after the the Hebrew letters lamed and vav comprising the the number thirty-six: lamed/thirty and vav/six 11 These are those whom Buddhism calls calls bodhisattvas and and Zen calls calls persons without rank and and Confucius called the the Superior Person and the the Taoists call call zhenren a a a a a real person Chapter Three
