I remember when I was young,
my grandfather would always
ask me what I want to become
when I grow up. Honestly, I
don't know what to answer and
I remained silent as I listen to
my grandfather talk about how
he wanted to have a doctor in
our family.
I remember his eyes sparkle as
he narrate of his dreams for
me. I wanted to fulfill that
dream but I have this self-
doubt that can I really make
it?
To be honest I wasn't a bright
kid before and some would not
believe it. I remember how my
mother would always receive
this sad slip
indicating that I have a failing
grade during second grade, to
be exact.
