1 Graphic standards
1.1 Respecting graphic standards
Graphic standards must be respected at all times. The graphic standards are aimed
at maintaining graphic consistency in design and realization throughout the retailer network (targeting a 360° approach, both in web design and in print), while leaving enough freedom, and at the same time, providing flexible “rules” where these may apply to the use of graphic signs, graphic network identity, its promotion and publicity generated by the retailer. The relevance in respecting this graphic outline lies in two items:
❙ The graphic identity remains intact, whatever the design or graphic achievement, so that the network (which is a sum of individuals) speaks with “one voice”.
❙ The graphic standards allow the receiver (i.e. the consumer) to easily identify
the transmitter (in this case, the retailer affiliated with the IPG NETWORK) and, usually, if consistency is met, to identify visual reference in different designs and graphic realization, even within the same graphic support (making it easier to read).
Generally, according to the campaigns during the season, templates are prescribed and adapted to the media and its platform(s). If designs are entrusted to an outside firm, we strongly recommend that you have the work APPROVED in advance by the International Pool Group Marketing Department, so that the required criteria are
met and avoid potential litigation.
