How Do You Measure Success?
As we get closer to the end of a very successful academic year, it is time to be
re ective on the combined efforts of our teachers, you, as parents, and of
course the children!
The month of May brings celebrations of the “moving up” and FS2 graduations
for our EPG classes.
Listening and watching your children sing and dance as they rehearse, and
practice, is evidence of the con dence and self-assured enthusiasm they have
garnered over this academic year.
Our teachers speak with pride when they share the many experiences and
learning activities and trips that your child has participated in, this year.
Remembering that the Early Years is the most important milestone time in a
child’s life, it has been remarkable how they have matured, become risk takers
and problem solvers. From those rst days and “baby steps” taken, to them
now “running” and gaining greater gross motor and ne motor strength, we see
the incredible changes made in the Prime Learning areas of Communication &
Language Development, Physical Development as well as areas of Personal,
Social, Emotional Development!
Measuring growth in the Speci c learning areas of Literacy, Mathematics,
Understanding the World, the Expressive Arts and Design are a re ection of
your commitment to support your children through the most powerful strategy:
reading to, and with your child! This is known to be the single, biggest predictor
of a child’s academic achievement, and we thank you for taking that time to
support them. Your efforts to have the children at school, on time, and every
day, are crucial to your child’s success also. Thank you for your commitment to
these goals.
